This week for my TMA 215R class, aka International Cinema Review, we had to-nay, indeed GOT to watch Khadak, a Mongolian film from 2006. I'd give you my own version of the synopsis, but to be honest, I slept through at least a third of this film...I think. I was very much confused the whole time I was watching, so much so that I don't think seeing the whole thing would have helped. I read the synopsis at khadak.com (yeah, it exists) and I still don't really understand what I saw. The good thing is, however, and the reason I decided to blog about this film, is that I super badly wanna see this film again and again, as many times as it takes to understand or at least minutely appreciate this film.
Here's the trailer:

It's brilliant:) Go watch it!
Did you watch it? Good. Isn't that song in that teaser INCREDIBLE?!?!?! It's this band called Altan Urag. Here's a list of some of their stuff:
SeeqPod - Playable Search
The first song is the closest one I could find to the song in the trailer. If you think that song in the trailer is good, just wait til you hear it in the context of the film. Dag, yo. The second song is the song my ICR instructor played for us in class on Monday. Awesome awesome intrumentals, terrifying vocals. Not quite my cup o' herbal tea. But I dig it.
What movie and who said it? (No, it's not from Khadak...)
Chancho! I need to borrow some sweats...

Dude, that movie looks so tight! And, yeah, great track. It kind of reminded me of that one song from the Kill Bill Soundtrack ["Battle Without Honor or Humanity"].
That sounds like a tight class, I might have to take it next semester--unless you have to be in the Media Arts program >.<
Oh hardly lol. I most certainly did not even apply for the program:) TMA 215 R, section 4 I think? Idk. I do know that it's 215R tho. So I'll be right there with ya come Winter:)
Oh PS, "Nacho Libre", right?
Wow, that movie looks freakin amazing! I think I love Asian films a lot more than I ever knew.
